Holda: Facing the Past Ritual

This ritual will address whatever it is that is in your past (or past life) that may be holding you back. You need a blue veil or piece of material, Hagalaz/Haegel rune.

Cast your circle and call the quarters.

Holda, Queen of the Underworld, Guardian of Witchcraft,
I ask for your presence here tonight. Please join me in this sacred space.

Cover your head with the veil. Hold the rune in your hand of power. Consentrate on whatever the problem is. If you don't have a specific issue in mind, concentrate on wanting to know whatever is in your subconscious that you have not addressed yet. When ready, say:

Holda, All mother, wise one, I ask you to show me the lesson
I am to learn from my past and as well as any
other mysteries you chose to reveal to me.


Remove the veil. Put the rune in your receptive hand and cross your arms in the God position, sitting or standing quietly awaiting her incites.

When you feel you have received all of her messages, thank Holda, close the quarters and open the circle.
